The spirit of fall was in full effect on Oct. 26 as the Chestnut Street School in the West Hempstead Union Free School District hosted a day of activities. The school’s third annual fall festival sponsored by the school’s PTA, featured a variety of activities and brought many smiles.
As part of the fun, students selected their own pumpkins from a patch and took class photos with a backdrop of scarecrows. Members of the West Hempstead High School Key Club assisted with various stations of games, including wrapping Principal Faith Tripp as a mummy with toilet paper.
Chestnut Street School officials thanked the PTA and Key Club for helping to put together another successful fall festival.
