Mohawks host 11th annual Malverne Lax Day

Posted

The Malverne Mohawks Lacrosse Club celebrated their 11th anniversary last Sunday during a warm afternoon in the village as part of Malverne Lax Day. The day-long event, which featured hundreds of young lacrosse players, took place on the fields behind Malverne High School.
Every hour and a half, players of all ages enjoyed a game of lacrosse on the high school’s turf field. As players went head-to-head on the field, parents and spectators celebrated with food, refreshments and music. Founded by Malvernites Charles and Bernadette Russell in 2007, the annual event has continued to attract youth lacrosse players and families for a fun-filled day.
