A total of 103 sixth-grade students at West Hempstead Union Free School District’s George Washington School earned placement on the High Honor and Honor Rolls following the first quarter of the year.
Principal Michelle Notti congratulated 82 students that qualified for the High Honor Roll by earning an average of 90 percent or higher. An additional 21 students were placed on the Honor Roll with an average of 85 percent or higher.
Students were commended on Nov. 28 with the awarding of certificates by Notti. Their names will also be listed on the board adjacent to the main office.
“I wish to extend our congratulations to the students on their outstanding scholastic averages,” Notti said. “We hope they are as proud as we are of their achievements.”
