Buzz’d Express Coffee opens in Bellmore

Following months of construction, Buzz’d Express Coffee finally celebrated its grand opening on Jan. 24. Located just north of Sunrise Highway on Bellmore Avenue, the coffee shop offers a new take on drive through coffee establishments.

Buzz’d Express Coffee sits on the lot that was once home to the “Bellmore Dairy Barn,” and has undergone extensive renovations. Converting the dairy barn into a coffee shop allows for the business to operate with two lanes — one for ordering in-person, and one for picking up online orders.

Online orders can be placed ahead of time on their app, simply called “Buzz’d” available on both the Apple and Android app stores. The two-lane drive through gives way to the concept of Buzz’d being “express.”

“[Buzz’d has] the quality of a coffee shop with the convenience of it being express,” owner Greg Carmada previously told the Herald. “It will be a little bit of a different take on it.”

Buzz’d’s general manager, David Czegledi, has been active on their Facebook page and is working with the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores, other local businesses, as well as the libraries, in order to establish themselves as an integral part of the community.

“We want to give back to the community,” Czegledi shared with the Herald. “We want to provide the best customer service, and give out a high quality product of [both] coffee and food.”

Buzz’d’s menu includes coffee and other beverages, as well as bakery and food items, specifically for breakfast and lunch, Carmada explained. The menu is accommodating, featuring dairy and non-dairy options for beverage items, as well as vegan and gluten free items for those with dietary restrictions or preferences.

Buzz’d Express Coffee will be open Monday through Friday, from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, their hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information on the establishment, patrons can visit their site buzzdexpresscoffee.com.
