Eighth-grade students from Woodland Middle School in East Meadow geared up for graduation and moving on to high school through virtual and social distancing ceremonies.

Parents decorated their cars with Woodland red and yellow and students dressed to show off their school spirit for a car parade throughout the community on June 17. The route started on Prospect Avenue before heading south on East Meadow Avenue, right onto North Drive, another right on Midland Drive and a third right on Wenwood Drive before taking two final turns on Harvey Lane and Cynthia Drive before students arrived back at the school.

The school’s annual academic and athletic awards ceremony took a virtual platform this year on June 18. Lastly, students attended a virtual graduation ceremony on June 24.
