W.T Clarke High School student-musician Gabrielle Lim was selected to participate in the violin symphony orchestra at the All-State Winter Conference, hosted by the New York State School Music Association in Rochester from Dec. 5 to Dec. 8.

Chosen as alternates were W.T. Clarke High School students Maleah Cobham, an Alto 2 player, Daniel Hong, on French horn, Alvin Hsu, on violin and cello, Brendan Mark, as a jazz tenor, Jonathan Mathai, on bass 1, and Matthew Michaelis, on the baritone euphonium.

East Meadow High School students Joaquin Caceras, on viola, and Abby Von Ohlen, on piccolo, were also chosen as alternates for this prestigious honor.

Thousands of student-musicians auditioned for participation in the All-State Winter Conference during solo and ensemble festivals throughout the state. Students were selected based on their festival scores and judges’ recommendations.
