Fair District students honored as ‘Best Young Artists’

The East Meadow School District congratulates East Meadow High School student Emily DeRosa and W.T. Clarke High School students Claire Baek, Ricardo Canales and Chae Ryeong Kim who were selected as exhibiting artists for the Long Island’s Best Young Artists exhibition at The Heckscher Museum.
Now in its 27th year, this annual exhibition features 91 extraordinary works of art created by Long Island high school students from 58 schools. This year, 553 students from 77 high schools submitted artwork. The final exhibition was juried by Karli Wurzelbacher, Heckscher Museum Curator, and guest juror, artist Samantha Dominik.
Student artwork will be on display at the museum from April 29 to June 4.
