Sunday as a day of celebration for seniors attending East Meadow High School. Graduating at the Mitchel Field Athletic Center, the Class of 2021 appeared happy and proud.
Valedictorian Hafsa Rehman had a few words of advice for her classmates. She reminded them that the world is not predictable, “like a movie.” And she urged her fellow graduates to find balance, which she plans to do when she attends Northeastern in the fall.
When salutatorian Tashu Patel spoke, she said what must have been on many graduates’ minds. Looking out at her fellow seniors she said, “Today is not the end, but a beginning.”
The new beginning started with a toss of mortarboards, the last moment the Class of 2021 shared.
