Light Rain Jet soars to 1,000-point milestone

Danielle Hippner scored 1000 points in her varsity basketball career on the girl’s team at East Meadow High School. She celebrated the milestone on Jan. 17 with her friends and family.
Hippner is the second female in the high school’s history to score 1000 points and is the school’s first athlete on the girl’s basketball team to earn Newsday’s ALL-Long Island and ALL-NY State status.
Hippner recently signed her National Letter of Intent to continue to play next year with the Molloy Women’s Basketball NCAA DII Program.
“We are all so proud of her accomplishments and wish her all the best in her next four years as a Molloy Lion,” said her father Ernest.
