Library to host online program about racism

The East Meadow public library is hosting an online program titled, “How do Parents Talk About Race, Inequality, and Unjust Acts with Children?” The discussion will be led by Nate Ingram and Rita Eaton on Thursday, July 9, at 7 p.m. via Zoom videoconference.

The description of the event on the library’s website reads, “We are living at a turning point in the history of our country. Race, injustice and the pandemic keeping us isolated. How do we have conversations with our children on such important topics?”
