Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce postpones Evening of Excellence until June 4

Due to rising Covid-19 cases, the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce has postponed its annual Evening of Excellence from Jan. 15 to June 4.

“With the current surge of Covid cases, we believe it is in the best interest of everyone for us to postpone the event at this time,” the chamber released in a statement.

Anyone who has purchased tickets or sponsorships will be contacted to discuss options, according to the chamber’s statement.

The event will take place at the St. Mary’s Maris-Stella Knights of Columbus, 78 Hempstead Ave. Honorees will include Lynbrook High School Spanish teacher William Luzzi, Robert Cribbin, Bruce Levitt of Mur-Lee’s Men’s and Boy’s Shop, Robert Leonard and former chamber president Steven Wangel.
