Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce to host annual awards and installation dinner

The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce is set to host its annual installation and awards dinner at Temple Am Echad, 1 Saperstein Plaza, on Jan. 30 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Honorees for the evening include Shannan Pearsall, Steven Freifeld, Carol Burak and Northwell Health.

Pearsall is the coordinator of Mended Little Hearts of Long Island, a nonprofit that supports children, families and caregivers affected by congenital heart defects.

Freifeld is being honored as the Lynbrook Educator of the Year. He has been a third grade teacher at Marion Street Elementary School for more than four decades.

Burak, a former Chamber of Commerce president, is being honored as the distinguished president emeritus, while Northwell Health will be recognized for being a physician partner of the chamber.

In addition to the honorees, the chamber will also install its 2020 slate of officers.

Dinner tickets cost $95 per person or $900 for a table of 10, and will include a catered dinner and drinks. Seating is limited and tickets are on sale at lynbrookdinner2020.eventbrite.com. The chamber is also offering the opportunity for businesses to sponsor its 2020 shopper’s guide.
