The Lynbrook Fire Department responded to a brush fire behind a home off Ocean Avenue on July 11.
Fire Chief John Donald wants to remind residents that burning off any debris or landscaping brush is strictly prohibited in the village.
The firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it got out of hand or spread to any homes or buildings in the surrounding areas.
