Two teens were arrested in East Rockaway on April 17 for allegedly shooting a pedestrian with a water bead blaster gun.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, the teens drove past a 33-year-old pedestrian who was walking near the intersection of Althouse Avenue and Front Street in a 2014 Honda Accord. One of them yelled out of the passenger side window and pointed a soft water bead blaster gun at him, which put him in fear for his life, according to police.

The teen then fired at the victim and struck him multiple times with beads. Police were dispatched to the scene a short time later and arrested two teens, ages 16 and 17, at 9:57 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The teens were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree menacing.
