Village of Valley Stream kicked off its flagship monthlong holiday extravaganza, Winterfest, with a growing and more elaborate light display last Friday. The flashy holiday décor that festoons Arthur J. Hendrickson Park drew hundreds of residents, featuring the Christmas tree lighting and the arrival of one Jolly Old Saint Nick.
The celebration concluded with a cherished holiday tradition: children and families took turns sitting with Santa on his sleigh for photos. See photos.
