Music, dancing and the camaraderie of being with family and friends made the “Dancing with the Stars” event sponsored by The Club a success. The Club is a day program for people with cognitive, physical and emotional frailty that is run under the auspices of Peninsula Counseling Center.

Battling breast cancer and losing their hair was made a bit easier for 1,000 women as Long Island Beauty Center owner, Rodolfo Valentin, donated that many wigs to 1 in 9: the Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition that is based in the Hewlett House in Hewlett.
