You scream, we scream new Torah for Chabad of Hewlett

Chabad of Hewlett welcomed a new Torah with an ice cream party that celebrated the holiday of Shavuot and where the Ten Commandments were read in unity on June 4. Shavuot commemorates God giving the Jewish people the Torah on Mount Sinai 3,327 years ago.
The new Torah arrived a day earlier from Israel. “This is a very unique Torah dedication,” said Rabbi Nochem Tenenboim, the spiritual leader of Chabad of Hewlett. “This is the beauty of Jewish unity and essentially the story of the Chabad of Hewlett.”
At the party, attendees were treated to eight flavors of ice cream with a dozen toppings to chose from, a wide array of blintzes, cheese cakes and a dairy buffet.
