Mostly Cloudy Are you ready for some football? Clinic at Five Towns Community Center
Inwood resident Ilyassha Shivers along with volunteers from Lawrence High School and players formerly coached by Shivers are holding a flag football clinic for children aged from kindergarten to eight grade on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the field outside the Five Towns Community Center at 270 Lawrence Ave. in Lawrence.
Shivers said that he is trying to cross cultures and language barriers and aims to educate and introduce the youngsters to the game. “I would love to bring back the tradition of pee wee football to in possibly in 2021,” he said, even if we are only able to have one or two teams.”
