Fair Attempted gunpoint robbery at North Lawrence Burger King

The Burger King on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence was the scene of an attempted robbery at gunpoint on March 12.

A woman allegedly walked up to the drive-thru of the Burger King at 665 Rockaway Tpke., in North Lawrence, at 11:43 p.m. on March 12, wearing a scarf to cover her face and demanded money at gunpoint, according to Nassau police.
No money was taken, police said. The woman left the scene in an older model four-door sedan headed south on Rockaway Turnpike. She is described as black, 5-feet, 5inches tall, roughly 30-year-old and weighing 200 pounds.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477 or 911. All calls are confidential.
