Florida man arrested in Oceanside on multiple weapons charges

A Florida man was arrested Monday night after officers recovered several firearms and high-capacity magazines during a traffic stop on Long Beach Road in Oceanside.

Members of the Critical Intelligence Rapid Response Team spotted a Hyundai with a broken tail light and an improper lane change near Anchor Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m.

Police began a traffic stop and, during their investigation, recovered the following weapons: Sig Sauer P320 handgun, CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 handgun, Sig Sauer M400 and five large-capacity magazines. The driver, Yuval Pryce, 40, of Lauderhill, Florida, was arrested without incident.

Pryce is charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm and several traffic violations. He is scheduled to be arraigned April 8, at First District Court in Hempstead.
