Christina Alexandre and Jonathan Vinas, of Lawrence, and Jeremy Rabban and Scarlett Levine, from Woodmere, were among the 4,900 students to receive their degrees at the University of Albany’s 175th commencement on July 25. Alexandre, Vinas, and Levine received Bachelor of Science degrees, and Rabban received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

More than a thousand students at New York Institute of Technology have been named to the spring President’s list, including Ari Begun of Woodmere, majoring in architecture; Alexandra Gershon and Cameron Ostrin, both from Hewlett, and both majoring in architectural technology; Max Perez of Inwood, majoring in electrical and computer engineering; and Ariel Steinlauf of Lawrence, majoring in computer science.

To qualify for the list, a student must achieve a minimum semester grade-point average of 3.7 and complete at least 12 credit hours without any incomplete grades.
