HAFTR practices kindness for Purim

Posted

HAFTR High School students on the Chesed Committee led by Rabbi Gary Slochowsky with committee heads Zachary Gellman and Sofia Goldschlag, organized a Chesed project to give back to the community on Purim.

Students packed food packages for children in hospitals and residents in nursing homes. Gabe Boxer of Kosher Response shared the Kosher Response story and donated food and bags for the packages. Gourmet Glatt and Reismans also donated to the cause.

The food was distributed at several places, including the Five Towns Premier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Woodmere, the Bristal Assisted Living at North Woodmere and St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway.
