The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department will conduct a training exercise at the intersection of Church Avenue and West Broadway from 10 a.m. to noon in Cedarhurst.

The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department will a training operation at 376 Church Ave. at the intersection of Church Avenue and West Broadway from 10 a.m. to noon in Cedarhurst.

Smoke will be used to simulate a burning home that could be seen and smelled. The fire department will not be setting the home on fire. No one will be in any danger. The training exercises are critically important to keep our firefighters in top shape for their safety and yours.

The fire hydrant on West Broadway and a portion of the road will be closed. Some fire apparatus might block driveways. If you need your car between those hours it is recommended that the car be moved before 10 a.m. The village said it has been assured by the LCFD that they will accommodate requests for access.
