A North Woodmere resident will be one of 42 men to try and gain the love of bachelorette Clare Crawley in the upcoming 16th season of the ABC show “The Bachelorette.”

Joe Park, 36, is a Hewlett High School alumni who currently works as an anesthesiologist. Pack also graduated from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in 2014.

The “Bachelorette” is a spin-off show from “The Bachelor,” which premiered on ABC 2002.  The premise of the show revolves around a single bachelorette who begins with a pool of romantic interests from whom she is expected to select a husband from. During the course of the season, the bachelorette eliminates candidates each week, which eventually leads to a marriage proposal to her final selection at the end of the season.

Park could not be reached for comment as ABC public relations officials noted that their guidelines state that none of the men, or their friends and families are allowed to be interviewed until after they are eliminated from the show.

The season is expected to premiere at some point in the fall on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC. Production was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
