Police looking for Inwood hit-and-run driver

Nassau County 4th Squad detectives are asking the public to help identify or come forward with information on a hit-and-run incident that happened on Oct. 18 at 7:55 p.m. at 148 Doughty Blvd. in Inwood that injured a woman, who lives in Inwood.

Police said that while walking north to her car, the woman, 42, was hit by a gray Acura TL with dark-tinted windows and chrome rims that was also heading north. After the car struck the woman, the passenger side mirror came off.

The women suffered injuries to the lower portion of her body.
