Queens men charged with crimes in the Five Towns

The investigation of multiple thefts from a Fed Ex drop box on Spruce Street in Cedarhurst lead Nassau County police to a pair of Queens residents who were arrested on June 10 in North Lawrence.

Arrested were Thomas Mensah, 21, of 87th Street, Queens and Michael Fayemiwo, 22, of Lanett Avenue, Far Rockaway. Detectives found both men in a 2018 white BMW in the parking lot of Jimmy Jazz, on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence.

Mensah was charged with eight counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument first degree, two counts of possession of burglar tools, grand larceny third-degree, petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana second-degree.

Fayemiwo was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation first-degree, forgery of a vehicle identification number, grand larceny third-degree, two counts of petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana second-degree. Both will be arraigned on June 11 in Mineola.
