This season’s Brandeis MaccaBees basketball team. The Brandeis School in Lawrence partnered with the Nassau Herald and held a contest to find a nickname for the Brandeis sports teams. The contest ran through the summer and into early fall. Two winners were chosen: Maccabi Brandeis from Rabbi Saul Haimoff and Brandeis Bees from Robin Feit.
Brandeis administrators and alums decided to combine the two and created the Brandeis Maccabees. Liav Dahari, Brandeis class of 2011, designed the logo. Next game, Dec. 2, at home vs, HALB.
