Serving a charitable Cedarhurst barbecue

Posted

The Cedarhurst home of Penina and David Klein was the site Fleishfest VI on Aug. 12. According to organizers the annual event is “an awesome BBQ" and “the best party of the summer in the Five Towns with a continuous supply of premium meats,” at multiple carving stations. In addition, there was hand-rolled cigars, sushi and wine tasting.

Proceeds support Priority-1’s Torah Academy on Columbia Avenue in Cedarhurst. It was founded in 1987 by Rabbi Shaya Cohen to help at-risk teenagers and guide their parents, families and teachers. Since then, the organization has evolved into a network of yeshivas and training programs that are vital resources for Jewish communities across the globe.
