Two charged in alleged Inwood robbery

A car accident involving two vehicles and four men ignited an alleged assault and robbery in Inwood on April 1.

Nassau County police responded to a car accident at 7 Alvin Place at 6:10 p.m., and found two men, 23 and 21, along with two other men. Allegedly the first pair of men approached the other vehicle and punched the other two in the face multiple times and demanded money, according to police, and both men, who suffered bruising to their faces, complied.

The police arrested Rayshaun Reid, 23, of  South 14th Street, Reading, PA and Nickolus Porter, 19, of  Hassock Street, Far Rockaway. Both were charged with two counts of second-degree robbery. They will be arraigned in Mineola on April 2.
