Lawrence Elementary School students — third through fifth grade — created Valentine’s Day card for military veterans that will be distributed to soldiers through the Valentine’s for Veterans program.
Other area schools also took part in the program, including Hewlett Elementary, which also has third- through fifth-graders. Town of Hempstead Councilman Anthony D’Esposito accepted the cards from the children at both schools.
