Light up the Christmas tree
Garden World, at 500 Franklin Ave., will be holding a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 1 at 3 p.m., featuring free popcorn, cookies and hot cider; Christmas carolers; a story time with Santa Claus; photo opportunities with Santa; and the tree lighting at 5 p.m.
Make some chocolate
Children in grades five to eight can make chocolate at the Franklin Square Public Library on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. There is a material fee of $3, which is to be paid at the time of registration.
Meet exotic animals
The Tackapausha Nature Preserve will bring a variety of animals to the Franklin Square Public Library on Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. Registration is required.
