Criminal mischief

On May 2 at 7:48 p.m., the foreman of a construction site at Nassau Street reported damage to the window on a construction vehicle.

At 1:21 p.m. on May 6, a motorist notified police that someone damaged the door of his vehicle while it was parked on Merrick Road.

Leaving the scene

A motorist reported that her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while she was driving on Lincoln Avenue.

Larceny

At 1:43 p.m. on May 3, a Cedar Avenue resident reported that someone stole her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway.

A Demott Avenue resident notified police that someone stole property from her car while it was parked in her driveway on May 3 at 8:29 p.m.

On May 7 at 12:44 p.m., a King Kullen employee reported that someone stole money during a money order transaction.

At 3:17 p.m. on May 7, a North Long Beach Road resident notified police that someone stole a package that was delivered to her apartment building.

Village code violation

Police personnel assisted the Village of Rockville Centre’s Building Department in the issuance of an appearance ticket for contractors working without proper permits at a Morris Avenue home on May 4 at 4:38 p.m.

Unusual incident

On May 4 at 12:33 p.m., the owner of a North Centre Avenue business reported that someone altered a check he wrote after he mailed it.

Arrest

At 11:30 p.m. on May 8, a 45-year-old Rockville Centre man was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal mischief after an incident at his home.
