Freeport Public Schools: Off to a great start

Posted

On Sept. 1, the streets of Freeport were lined with students eagerly waiting to board their school buses for the start of a new school year. The Freeport Public Schools reopening plan, including all of the COVID-19 precautions and protocols, were followed as students arrived and were warmly greeted by members of the board of education, administration, building principals and staff.

“We are all truly excited to welcome back our students as we start the new school year,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham said. “The new school year will be filled with opportunities to learn and succeed. Our children are the changemakers of the future and I am confident we can inspire them to fulfill their full potential.”

During the 2021-2022 school year, the district will offer in-person instruction to all students.  Sports, clubs and after-school extracurricular activities will be available.
