More Elmont community members test positive for Covid, school district reports

Someone who provides daycare for a student at the Covert Avenue School and a parent of stuents at the Clara H. Carlson School have tested positive for the coronavirus, Elmont Superintendent Kenneth Rosner announced on Oct. 28.

No student or staff member tested positive for the virus in either case, h said, but the students who were in contact with these individuals, and their classes, were notified that they have to quarantine and learn remotely. The building, and especially the rooms that these students used, meanwhile, have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
