Three charged in alleged robberies of two Marshalls

Two men and a woman were arrested on Feb. 21 by Nassau County police for seven alleged robberies of merchandise from two Marshalls department stores between Jan. 5 and Feb 21.

As the investigation progressed, Fourth Squad detectives saw a gray colored 2002 Nissan Maxima moving east on Fulton Street at Cathedral Avenue in Hempstead at 1:45 p.m. on that Monday. Police stopped the car and arrested Rodney Galloway, 53, of Prospect Avenue, Westbury; Michele Brown, 24, of St. Pauls Street, Baldwin; and Willie A. White, 55, of Hilton Avenue, Hempstead.

On Jan. 5, 8, 10, 19, 22 and 31, the three allegedly removed merchandise valued roughly at approximately $8,200 from the Marshalls at 345 Rockaway Tpke., in North Lawrence, police said. On Feb. 21, the trio also allegedly stole items valued around $2,028 from the Marshalls at 600 Hempstead Tpke., in Elmont, according to police.

Galloway is charged with four counts of third-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree attempted grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property Brown is charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree attempted grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession stolen property.  White is charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.  

Galloway’s next court date is March 2. Michael Thomas Nolan is representing him. Brown’s next court date is March 16. His lawyer is Stephen Richard Mahler. White received a summons and no further information was available.
