Children were on the prowl in Oceanside and Island Park this past weekend for the communities’ respective Easter egg hunts. The kids searched far and wide for the precious, colorful commodities, and came away with sweet treasures.
In Island Park, the Easter Bunny made an appearance at the village’s Masone Beach while the mayor’s assistant, John Byrne, helped scatter the bunny’s riches for the swarms of children to collect.
In Oceanside, members of the Oceanside Kiwanis, K-Kids and Builders clubs organized an Easter egg contest, while the children too searched the Merle Avenue school gymnasium to see who could collect the most and best eggs.
