Nassau police searching for Oceanside bank robber

Nassau County detectives are searching for an unidentified man who robbed a Chase Bank in Oceanside on Wednesday.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, the man entered the bank, at 3285 Long Beach Road, at 10:40 a.m. and when he approached a teller, he demanded money. The teller complied, and the robber ran east on E. Cortland Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash.

At the time of the robbery, there were 10 employees and two customers inside the bank. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a white male with an average build. He was wearing a black knit hat, a camouflage neck gator and a blue flannel shirt at the time of the incident.
