Oceanside ushered in the holiday season with a tree-lighting celebration at the Schoolhouse Green on Foxhurst Road on Dec. 5.

The holiday spirit was in the air as the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Christmas tree lighting and celebration on Dec. 5 at the Schoolhouse Green on Foxhurst Road.
The Oceanside Middle School chorus performed yuletide favorites, while members of the Kiwanis Club and school administrators handed out coffee and treats to those in attendance.
The holly, jolly evening was capped with a special visit from Santa Claus, who took the time to meet and greet the dozens of families who attended the event.
