Rockville Centre man arrested for alleged robberies in Oceanside, Baldwin, RVC and Roosevelt

A Rockville Centre man was arrested in connection with a series of robberies, including a successful and attempted heist of money at a Chase Bank branch in Oceanside.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, Brian Quinn, 45, was arrested on Jan. 11 at about 3:50 p.m. Police said Quinn allegedly entered the Chase Bank, at 3285 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, approached a teller and demanded money. The teller recognized him from a robbery that occurred less than a week before, on Jan. 6, refused to comply, and he left the scene.

A short time later, Quinn allegedly entered another Chase Bank, at 915 Atlantic Ave., in Baldwin, and once again approached a teller and demanded money. The teller complied and he left the business with an unspecified amount of cash, according to police.

After an investigation by Nassau police, Quinn was arrested in Hempstead at about 3:50 p.m. Police linked Quinn to the following robberies:

—He allegedly stole a 2008 Honda Civic in Rockville Centre on Dec. 31 and is charged with third-degree grand larceny.

—He allegedly stole merchandise from a gas station at 2650 Long Beach Road in Oceanside on Jan. 1 and was charged with petit larceny.

—He allegedly stole money from Chase Bank at Long Beach Road in Oceanside on Jan. 6 and was charged with third-degree robbery.

—He allegedly stole a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Roosevelt and was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Quinn was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday.
