Freeport armory home to veteran stand down event

Freeport Armory was home to a Veterans Stand Down event on May 21.

Veterans received essential items for self-care.

Present at the event was Lonnie Sherman, head of General Needs, a Northport based non-for-profit that's dedicated to the support of homeless and disadvantaged veterans.

Also present was Ralph Esposito, the director of the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency.
