Helping others with Assemblywoman Judy Griffin

Residents can help feed those impacted by the coronavirus or show their appreciation to frontline workers through programs organized by New York State Assemblywoman Judy Griffin.

Griffin is hosting a virtual food drive with Long Island Cares, one of the largest hunger-relief organizations on the island. Residents can purchase items through the food drive, and all items will be directly delivered to LI Cares, which distributes the food to families in need.

To donate to the virtual food drive, visit www.yougivegoods.com/Griffin.

Griffin is also inviting kids and teens to create homemade “Thank You” cards for nursing homes and assisted living workers, who have been taking care of seniors during the Covid-19 pandemic.

All letters can be mailed to Griffin’s office at 74 North Village Avenue, Rockville Centre, NY 11570. Letters can also be dropped off directly at the office’s mail slot.

The letters will then be distributed to local nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
