McInnis steps down as LB city council president; is replaced by John Bendo

In a completely unexpected move Tuesday night, city council president Karen McInnis resigned as president and was replaced by council member John Bendo, who had been council president before her

The council approved the switch 5-0.

McInnis offered no explanation for her decision to step down.
