The Long Beach School District has confirmed three positive Covid-19 cases on Oct. 20, Long Beach Superintendent of Schools Jennifer Gallagher announced on Facebook.

Two of the positive cases were from Lido Elementary School and the other case came from the middle school. Gallagher said the students that tested positive shared a family connection and had not been in school since last Friday.

Additionally, the district is working with the Nassau County Health Department and will require a 14-day quarantine for the students. However, the Health Department is not recommending any school closures or any additional quarantine measures.

“As always, the health and safety of our students and staff is of the highest priority,” Gallagher wrote. “We will continue to monitor the situation, and update you with the latest information.”
