Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests

On April 5 at 9:25 a.m., a 60-year-old Woodmere man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and several other vehicle and traffic law violations on Ocean Avenue.

At 6:50 p.m. on April 7, a 33-year-old Brooklyn resident was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a vehicle while using a cell phone and several other vehicle and traffic law violations on Peninsula Boulevard.

A 34-year-old Lynbrook woman was arrested on April 7 at 6:50 p.m. and charged with an open Nassau County warrant.

On April 10 at 7:55 a.m., a 39-year-old Rockville Centre man was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance and several other vehicle and traffic law violations on Sunrise Highway.

Petit larceny

At 8:24 a.m. on April 7, an employee of 7-Eleven, 558 Merrick Road, reported that a man wearing a green jacket and blue jeans entered the store and stole 25 cans of Red Bull. The stolen property totaled about $75.

Robbery

An employee of BP gas station, 265 Sunrise Highway, notified police that a man wearing a red long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a black mask entered the store, took out a black pistol and demanded money and lottery tickets. He then exited the store and went westbound on Shipherd Avenue. The total loss was about $1,000 in cash and $6,000 worth of lottery tickets.
