Homeless man charged in Nassau grand larcenies

A homeless man was arrested for several grand larcenies that occurred across Nassau County between September 2023 and January of this year 2025, Nassau police said.

According to police, Patrick Wall, 25, contacted numerous elderly victims, stating he was a masonry worker and would be willing to perform construction on parts of their homes that needed repair.

The alleged victims accepted his offers and over the course of the work Wall would intentionally create additional damage and inflated the cost of the new repairs, police said. The alleged victims eventually suspected that they were being scammed and notified police.

After the subsequent investigation, Wall was found and arrested. He is charged with six counts of grand larceny, five counts of conspiracy, five counts of scheme to defraud, two counts of criminal mischief and multiple Town of Hempstead violations.

Wall pleaded not guilty and was released without bail. His next court date is Jan. 16. James D’Angelo represents him.
