The Valley Stream District 30 Board of Education is searching for a new superintendent, following the announcement of Dr. Nicholas Stirling’s retirement on June 30. As part of its “extensive” search for the district’s top leading administrator, the board is seeking feedback from the community, asking parents and various stakeholders what qualities, experiences, and skills they would like to see in the district’s next superintendent, according to officials.
A district survey is now available and can be accessed in English and Spanish via the district website: www.valleystream30.com. The deadline to complete the survey is Feb. 1, 2022. Consolidated responses from the anonymous survey will be reported publicly.
