Wellington C. Mepham High School will be hosting its 11th St. Baldrick’s fundraiser on May 27. This year’s event will be an in-person event following Covid protocols and will be covered live by Bellmore-Merrick Broadcasting.

“We are so excited our students have already raised over $10,000 through online and cash donations,” Kerry Dennis, social studies teacher and event co-organizer, said.

The funds go towards life-saving research and treatments at hospitals locally and throughout the world to find cures and improve treatments for all childhood cancers. At the event, guests can pledge to have their head shaved in front of friends and family.

Participants must register on the district’s event page in order to attend the event. No walk ins will be permitted. For more information, please visit the event page, https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/868/2021
