During the East Rockaway Board of Education meeting on Nov. 19, Fran Dixon, Kristina Imandt, Theresa Parente, Luanne Sheridan, and Suzanne Volpe were recognized for their 20 years of commitment and presented with 20-year service pins.

Superintendent James DeTommaso said the teachers’ contributions promoted the values of the school district: displaying reliable and passionate work daily.

“These five individuals have remained steadfast in their loyalty to East Rockaway—putting our students, our schools, and our community above all else. They have consistently embodied the heart of our mission: to always put Kids First.”

National Education Support Professionals Day highlights the critical roles played by those who work behind the scenes to ensure the success of students and the smooth operation of schools.
