O.B. veterinary science student continues working during the coronavirus pandemic

Veterinary Science students at the Nassau BOCES Joseph M. Barry Career & Technical Education Center are essential workers taking care of animals at Hilton Hospital for Animals in Lynbrook and Long Island Veterinary Specialists in Plainview.

Riley Palmese, a student at Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District, is one of the students that has continued her work to assist the animals.

Barry Tech is a career and technical education high school that offers over 40 hands-on courses designed to help students develop the skills they need to get a step ahead in their chosen career fields. After completing their studies, students can attend a two or four-year college, enter the workforce or continue advanced career studies in a technical training school.
