Pope Benedict XVI died on Dec. 31, 2022, at the age of 95. Born in Bavaria on April 16, 1927, his holiness lived a long and sometimes complicated life. In recognition of his achievements with the papacy, hundreds gathered at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre on Jan. 6, for a memorial Mass in his memory.
